She loves dance class because of all the music she gets to hear and continues to dance because she thinks its fun and looks cool! The coolest dance so far, she says, was “Mac the Knife” because of the nice costume and the fast paced music. Her favorite recital theme was “Applause”. In her time here, Cadence says her favorite teacher has been Miss Kim, because she’s been with Cadence since she started tapping. In the future, Cadence hopes to be a photographer.

She thinks she’s had every teacher at some point during her time with 5678, and says she’s been inspired by each and every one of them. So far, her favorite dance was a competition trio she did with her sister and brother, because they always have fun together. Her favorite recital was 2021’s “The Greatest Show” because she had the best dances and tons of fun during a tough year. Jocelyn says that dance has helped her learn that she’s more capable than she thinks she is and she’s made the best friends ever. In the future, Jocelyn hopes to be a surgeon and help people!

Her best experience with dance so far has been winning “Icon” at conventions and the “Ballerlympics” (Ballet Olympics) with Miss Jess. Emme’s favorite teacher is Tamie. She says that Tamie has not only helped her become a better dancer, but has helped shape her as a person. Emme’s favorite dance is the Duo she is doing with her sister for competition this season because she loves dancing with Naomi. Her favorite recital theme so far was 2018’s “The Name Game” because it had some of her favorite dances in it. Naomi started dancing when she was 2 years old, and she is now 17! Naomi says that over the last 15 years, she’s loved being able to see her growth and progress and it motivates her to keep learning and growing in dance. The best part, she says, has been growing up with the same people and teachers her whole life – the studio is her second home now. She says that in her 15 years here, Tamie has been her favorite teacher because she has always believed in Naomi. Naomi’s favorite dance was “Vogue,” which was done for competition, because she says she grew a lot as a dancer that year. Her favorite recital theme was 2016’s “On Broadway” because it was such a creative theme and she loved all the production dances. When she’s not at the studio, Naomi is busy as the ASB President at Ripon High School, holding the title of Miss Ripon 2021, and being a part of the Hollywood Connection Teen Company. After she leaves 5678, Naomi hopes to become a Radio City Rockette or a City Planner!

Dress Code

5678 Dance Studio has a dress code for dancers so that the instructors and students are getting the most out of their classes.  It is very hard for an instructor to correct a dancer’s alignment when the dancer is wearing baggy clothes, their hair is in their face, or they are not wearing dance clothes and it is very hard for a dancer to make corrections, stretch, and dance properly when they have street clothes on. Please make sure to have your dancer dress according to the dress code so that your child can participate in their classes.
