Ava is 12 years old and has been dancing at 5678 Dance Studio for 10 years! Outside of dance Ava is involved in Cheerleading, tennis, golf, theatre, and leadership at her school! Ava says one of her most favorite memories from 5678 was getting her pointe shoes this past year. Over the last 10 years Ava has had many inspirational instructors, but her top three are Ms. Jess, Ms. Kim, and Ms. Mandy! All three of these instructors have always been there to help her and made her the dancer she is today! Ava says her favorite recital was 2017’s “Purple Reign” because the opening number was amazing, and her overall favorite dance was “In Da Club” because it was such an energetic dance. After High School Ava plans on attending CSU Monterey and earning her bachelor’s degree in business and then she plans on starting her own clothing line!
Maci is 30 years old and started dancing/teaching at 5678 at 20 years old, although she has been dancing since she was 11 years old. Outside of dance Maci is mama to two beautiful little girls, Everly and Berkley! Aside from being a mom she also loves to go shopping and decorate. Maci says all the instructors have inspired her at 5678 because she has learned something new from each and every one of them! 5678 has given her an outlet for her creativity and has allowed her to work with so many wonderful dancers over the last 10 years. Maci’s favorite recital number was “Piece by Piece” and her favorite recital was 2017’s “Purple Reign”! Maci says her reason for dancing is it’s the one thing that she has always been able to do even when other aspects of life were challenging. After Maci graduated in 2010 she went to college to become a dance teacher, she says she is “living her dream”.
5678 Dance Studio has a dress code for dancers so that the instructors and students are getting the most out of their classes. It is very hard for an instructor to correct a dancer’s alignment when the dancer is wearing baggy clothes, their hair is in their face, or they are not wearing dance clothes and it is very hard for a dancer to make corrections, stretch, and dance properly when they have street clothes on. Please make sure to have your dancer dress according to the dress code so that your child can participate in their classes.
