Alexis Garcia

INSTRUCTOR

Alexis Garcia has been dancing since she was just two and a half years old and has called 5678 Dance Studio home for 20 years! What started when her mom enrolled her in dance as a little girl quickly became a lifelong passion. After two decades at 5678, one of the things Alexis loves most about the studio is the sense of family and getting to watch dancers grow in confidence, support one another, and create memories that last far beyond the dance floor.

Hip hop is Alexis’s favorite style because it gives her the freedom to add her own personality and flair to choreography. It’s also one of her favorite styles to teach, along with our Pre-Level classes. Some of her favorite moments each year happen at recital, when she gets to watch her students perform what they’ve worked so hard on and see the pride on their faces when they come off stage.

Outside of the studio, Alexis works as a paraprofessional and is currently attending school to become a special education teacher. She is also a huge Disney fan! If she isn’t at the dance studio, there’s a good chance she’s planning her next Disney trip or listening to Disney music. A few of her other favorites include sour candy, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Target, and Aladdin. Her favorite recital theme is Passport to Dance.

As an instructor, Alexis promises to create a positive and supportive environment where every dancer feels welcomed, encouraged, and confident. She strives to help each student grow at their own pace, celebrate their successes, and make the studio a place where they can learn, have fun, and truly be themselves.

This season, Alexis is most excited to watch her students grow in both their dancing and their confidence while creating new memories and celebrating every accomplishment along the way.

And if you’re one of Alexis’s dancers, class will probably begin with a familiar “Hey, friends!” or “Okay, friends!”
