"Dancing
With The Stars," our 2010 Dance Production is only a few months
away. Students are working hard on their dances. With the dance
production approaching fast, regular attendance is essential. This
will allow the dancers to feel fully prepared for the performance.
Please make sure to mark your calendar with the dates listed in the
newsletter.

Company's 2010 Dance Performance
“Dancing
Down Abbey Road”.
Our
2009-2010 Dance Company will be performing at the Gallo Arts Center
on Saturday March 6th
at 6pm. The show will be about 90 minutes long. This is a great
opportunity for all of 5*6*7*8 Dancers, but especially our younger
dancers who might not be aware of what a “dance performance” is.
5*6*7*8 Dance Company will inspired students of all ages to work
harder for our May show.
These
dances will not be in our May Dance Performance. So please show
support for these dancers and purchase your tickets today. Tickets
are now on sale at www.galloarts.org.
Seats are reserved so get your seats now.
NO DANCE
CLASSES
The
studio will be closed during Spring
Break April 5th-9th.
10 YEAR
STUDENTS
We will
have a special section in the theater lobby to recognize 5*6*7*8
Dance Studio's 10 Year Students. Please submit a picture from the
students first year of dance with 5*6*7*8 and one from this year.
(Not larger than 5X7) Please submit to the front desk no later than
April 1, 2010.

MARCH
MADNESS!!
During
the month of March, all Ballet level II, III and IV students may wear
any color leotard to class. Pink tights and hair in bun is still
required!!
COSTUME
ARRIVAL
Several
classes will receive their costumes the week
of March 15th. Classes
that will be receiving their costumes this week will be listed on the
bulletin board at the studio or you may look online under 2010
costumes. Classes that don't receive their costumes this week will
receive them the week of
March 29th. We will have a
new list of which classes will receive their costumes on our studio
bulletin board (located in the lobby) and online under 2010 Costumes.
Parents, please try to be present when costumes are distributed, as
you will be given important instructions with regards to minor sewing
that may be required. At that time you will also be receiving a list
of accessories and/or tights that will be required. You will also be
given their picture day and time, along with additional information
about our 2010 Dance Production “Dancing With The Stars”.
DANCE
PRODUCTION HELP
We are
looking for moms and dads that would like to help out with our 2010
dance performance. We need assistance in the following areas:
ushers, backstage moms to help dress children and runners who will
assist with lining up students before the go on stage. Please sign
up at the front desk. Please note that helpers backstage will not be
able to watch the show from the auditorium. The show will be held at
Modesto Junior College and there is no standing room available.
There will be a live feed of the show in the lobby on the flat screen
TV.
VIDEOTAPING
Level
III and higher may videotape your child's dance routine for the show
the week of March 29th.
Please wait for the instructor to invite you into class. One
member of each family will be allowed to come into class to
videotape. To keep classes focused, siblings and friends are NOT
allowed to come into the studio during videotaping. Videotaping of
class instruction is not allowed.
ACCOUNTS
Please
check at the front desk to make sure your account is up to date.
Anyone with an outstanding balance will not be able to take costumes
home when they are distributed (Several classes will receive their
costumes in March). To avoid any misunderstandings, please stop by
the front desk or call the studio to make sure that your account is
current. If your last name is different than the last name of the
student of whom you are paying tuition for, please print the first
and last name of the student on the memo section of the check. Thank
you!

ADVERTISEMENTS
Now is
the time to submit your "copy ready" advertisement for our
2009 dance production program. Approximately 900 people will see our
show each night. Ads need to be turned in no later than April 15,
2010
