Directors

Danette Tomasello- Owner and Director of 5*6*7*8 Dance Studio

She has been teaching for over eighteen years.  Her passion for dance is passed on to her students.  Danette has studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, and Musical Theatre over the past 29 years.  She has been a company member of California Dance Collective.  She studied dance at several studios in the bay area and in the central valley.  In addition to her dance studies she has also received her aerobic certification and has completed the Gymboree Instructors training for children’s class.  Along with Tamie they have built the award winning Showstopper Dance Company.  Their performing dance teams have won top awards which include Best of Show, Best over all score in the junior, teen and senior divisions, Best Concept, Best Costume, and Best Showmanship.  In addition her students continue to earn several dance scholarships. The company has performed Great America and in numerous local events. Several 5*6*7*8 Dance Company and students have advanced to college dance teams, pro sports teams, and have made careers in dance production.

Tamie Griffith - Owner and Director of 5*6*7*8 Dance Studio

She has been instructing for over eighteen years.  Her love for ballet is taught through her persistence of classic ballet technique.  Tamie has studied Ballet along with Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop for over 25 years.  She studied dance at several studios in the bay area and in the central valley.  While growing up in the central valley she performed with the Yes Company and other local dance companies.  Along with Danette they have built the award winning Showstopper Dance Company.  Their performing dance teams have won top awards which include Best of Show, Best over all score in the junior, teen and senior divisions, Best Concept, Best Costume, and Best Showmanship.  In addition her students continue to earn several dance scholarships. The company has performed Great America and in numerous local events. Several 5*6*7*8 Dance Company and students have advanced to college dance teams, pro sports teams, and have made careers in dance production.


Faculty

Our caring faculty is an elite group of instructors who specialize in what they teach. They are selected not just for their dance background, but also for their ability to teach effectively and work well with children.  It is our focus to instruct our dancers with the highest quality of training to enhance technique, style and performance.  It is our goal to give each student the best dance education possible while assisting them to dream, believe and achieve their goals.  It is our pleasure to share our knowledge, ideas and love of dance with them.  We welcome you to 5*6*7*8 Dance Studio!

Liz Borba


Liz has bee a student of 5678for the past 17 and has been teaching with 5*6*7*8 Dance Studio for 9years.  She has a way of captivating her Pre Ballet and Pre Tap classes.  She inspires our Ballet II and III students with her grace, poise and lines.  She was Tremaine Dancer of the Year in  2002.  Elizabeth has been on the Company for over  11 years. She has received many scholarships to various dance conventions and also received a scholarship for a  private audition for LA Laker's Dance Team.  She is continuing her education by taking dance classes in college.  She is currently a student at Stanislaus State University pursuing her degree in Sports Medicine.  In addition to her dance training she also has a background in cheerleading.

Katie Davidson

Katie Davidson has been an instructor at 5.6.7.8. Dance Studio for the last 4 years. Before instructing Katie was an assistant instructor for 6 years.  This allowed her to shadow the Directors and learn their passion for dance education. Katie continues to study all forms of dance, which include:  tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, pointe, modern, and  contemporary. They style of dance that she is passionate about is contemporary! Katie was a part of 5678 Dance Company (competitive performance company) for 7 years. She participated in dance production for 3 at Beyer High School.  In addition she has choreographed for CSU Stanislaus’ Dance show.  She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Business. She absolutely loves teaching here at 5.6.7.8. and is excited for a long and wonderful career in dancing and teaching.


Terry Smith

Terri owned her own dance studio for over 20 years.   In fact she was Danette and Tamie (5678 Studio Directors) childhood dance instructor.  In addition Terri has instructed at Yoko's Dance and Performing Arts and the director of H.A.R.D.  Her specialty is Tap.  She has trained with tap greats such as:  Ann Garvin, Savion Glover, Bunny Briggs, Eddie Brown and she has even performed with Gregory Hines in is one and only S.F performance.  She also appeared in Rick Springfields "Bop Til You Drop" music video.  Terri owned her own dance studio for over 20 years.   In fact she was Danette and Tamie (5678 Studio Directors) childhood dance instructor.  In addition Terri has instructed at Yoko's Dance and Performing Arts and the director of H.A.R.D.  Her specialty is Tap.  She has trained with tap greats such as:  Ann Garvin, Savion Glover, Bunny Briggs, Eddie Brown and she has even performed with Gregory Hines in is one and only S.F performance.  She also appeared in Rick Springfield’s "Bop Til You Drop" music video.  5678 Dance Studio is excited to add Terri to their faculty!

Tamron Honberger -

Tamron has been instructing at 5678 for eight years.  She is a kindergarten teacher in Ceres.   Her dance training includes Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Tap. Tamron graduated from California State University Fresno where she was a cheerleader.   She’s coached the Modesto Jr. College Cheerleaders.  Tamron has been teaching the adult jazz and adult hip hop classes and has watched the adult classes grow in size and popularity in the last eight years.   She has two daughters that also dance at 5678.  Her favorite thing about teaching dance is watching her students come off of the stage after a performance with giant smiles, being proud of what they’ve accomplished.
